Born with a lifelong illness, her life expectancy was originally projected to not last beyond her teenage years. She persevered, working locally and graduating from Bellingham Jr./Sr. Memorial High.
She later attended Dean Jr. College and graduated with a bachelor’s in social services from Fitchburg State College, where her fellow students and sorority sisters from Sigma Alpha Delta remember her for her sense of humor and sense of adventure.
She maintained this attitude when she engaged in life whether it was boating in the New Hampshire rapids, concert going, or even the simple act of shopping of sitting with her dog Smokey.
